An Al Fresco Wedding at the Saugatuck Center for the Arts
6.8.2019
Pair the most glamorous old Hollywood bride with her steel fox beau, add the most well-behaved guest pup, and set it all up in an al fresco dinner on the shores of Saugatuck, and you get one of the most epic events of the decade.
Have you seen…the dress? THE dress! I’ve never seen anything like it, and I couldn’t imagine Marnie in anything but. The ladies got all dolled up at The Wickwood Inn, and if you ever needed a B&B representation of just how dapper Saugatuck Michigan is, this place would be it.
One trend I will never tire of are wedding food trucks. Guests dined on bibimbap and tacos while strolling the gardens of the Saugatuck Center for the arts. All on bamboo plates, which we’re all for. Two green thumbs way up for sustainable wedding options!
Marnie and Ben strolled into their first dance they had practiced and sashayed the rumba like pros while their pup Theo was underfoot. And if you’ve never seen a Grand Finale Desserts and Pastries display, then you don’t know what love is!
Toward the end of the night, Marnie and Ben’s parents surprised them with a photo of the two of them. When they were just babies, unbeknownst to them that they would one day be in this place together. Their reactions say it all, and I’m so grateful to have witnessed their genuine love for each other. A Saugatuck Michigan wedding and love story for the books.
