Nothing says a Northern Michigan wedding like the lakeshore, bikes, kayaks and brews. Before Mikala and Jake even said their I do’s, they treated their entire bridal party to a rehearsal that was quintessential Traverse City.

The group met for lunch in Downtown Traverse City at the Little Fleet, a fixed collection of food trucks offering an eclectic array of bites, plus a bar & outdoor seating. With tokens in hand, we sampled everything from lamb & pickle tacos to sushi rolls and mac n’ cheese bites. Nothing tests the fortitude of your bridal party than a Kayak, Bike & Brew Tour, and this group almost overtook the tour leaders saying, “we got this!”

With a rehearsal like that, how could the wedding top it? Maybe with one of Northern Michigan wedding venues best kept secrets; the Peninsula Room. Connected with out-of-this-world food by the Mission Table, and brewed on-site beers provided by the OG Jolly Pumpkin, all wrapped up in a lakeside wedding ceremony, made this a Lake Michigan wedding dream.

The picture-perfect outdoor cocktail hour was held under the light strung pergolas, while guests were serenaded by the soft twang of Appleseed Collective. Mikaela and Jake also left no stone unturned when it came to desserts. Sweet Tartlette, Grand Traverse Pie Company AND Moomers ice-cream made sure to hit everyone’s sweet tooth.

Mikaela had rented gorgeous vintage items for the dinner space, and we really worked together to make sure lists from all the rental companies had the exact pieces she wanted.

We could not be more appreciative or thankful for Mikaela and Jake for including us in every aspect of their wedding, and for starting off our 2019 season in the best way possible!
