There’s something nostalgic about getting ready in, and married near your parent’s home that has held so many treasured memories. Then being able to get married just up the road makes everything feel so heart-warming and familiar. Throw in some pictures at Leland and Fishtown and you’ve hit on all things that make Northern Michigan so wonderful.

I loved feeling like we got to go up and down the peninsula up north, while still feeling like everything was in one spot. Hildi and Jake had personal connections to every part of their wedding day, from the church they got married in to the Broom Closet Boys that played the music. Either them or their families knew “this guy” or “that guy,” making even the vendors feel like family.

The weather and setting could not have been more perfect to shine down on these two saying “I do,” and we sure know our way around Northport now!
