Charming Wedding at Venue St. George
9.25.2021
September 25th came and went in the blink of an eye. This day was filled with so much love, laughter, and traditions.
It’s one thing to plan weddings for someone whom I just met or for a familiar face: it’s another thing when it’s your sister. This tested me in more ways than one, both personally and professionally - in the end, I wouldn’t change a thing!
We all know being in two places at once is … impossible. Especially when you are IN THE WEDDING itself, handling the setup and managing of everything onsite was non-existent. Rather than calling ghostbusters, who did I turn to? That’s right, my fellow colleagues at Paper Hat. I knew I could trust them with the day-of execution. Because even professionals can’t do it alone! Let me say it louder for the people in the back, PROFESSIONALS. SEEK. ADDITIONAL. SUPPORT. TOO!
Saint George Antiochian Orthodox Church was the cutest thing I’ve ever laid eyes on. If you’ve ever seen the movie, My Big Fat Greek Wedding, so many of those cultural traditions shined through. There were the beautiful crowns, the walking around the altar, and the majestic sounds of the canter that echoed throughout.
All Natalie wanted out of her pictures were special moments to be captured, and that’s exactly what she got with Kim of Apple of Our Eye Photography. Needless to say, Kim will be capturing all remaining family weddings and portraits moving forward.
Pro Tip: Hire an Arabic drummer to get the party started, because that was the talk of the wedding.
