This is why I love a good ol’ family Michigan Lakeside Wedding. Charles seeing his bride beachside had him smiling from ear to ear, you can just feel the intensity of love these two have for each other.

The setting could not have been more perfect. The family’s lakeside cottage they have lived in for generations. Black and white photos hung on the walls of grandparents, parents and kids all posing in one or more parts of that same house. Guests were greeted by the same family’s airstream trailer turned welcome bar.

The arbor for the ceremony was set up in the wooded area in front of the house, made of branches found from the same trees. Carson wore a beautiful convertible dress with removable lace sleeves. I said it before, that I’m always in favor of two wedding dresses at any event, and this is the perfect combination of 2-in-1!

String lights crisscrossed the yard overhead while long tables served food family style as Salt of the Earth grilled everything fresh right next door. The guests were treated to the most beautiful sunset before the sun dipped below the drop off, and Kaleidoscope Events got the party bumpin! As part of a coordinator’s duties, I also took the family pup out on walks throughout the night. I mean, my job is hard.

Between the leafy trees, the beach front first look, and the lakeside first dance at sunset, Carson and Charles truly had the best of all Michigan. I am so thankful I was there to witness this great love firsthand, and forever raise my hand to be the first one to work lake house weddings if they are just like this!
