Camp Pinewood Cabin Wedding

CAIT + ANTHONY

Twin Lake, MI

This is what I love about Michigan. Even when you’re close to the city, you can find yourself in the middle of the forest with your own private lake, feeling like you’re the only ones having a National Park wedding.

I loved Cait and Anthony’s process together. They spent the morning with their friends swimming off the docks and tromping around the woods before getting ready together. No stuffy formalities, no “don’t look” moments. Anthony even helped Cait into her wedding dress. A loving and intimate moment for them to experience together.

The dinner menu that night was placed within a vintage typewriter while pies and s’mores ready to be roasted were perched nearby. Daddy and Daughter lead everyone into open dance by breaking it down to their own version of Pulp Fiction’s “You Never Can Tell.”

As the sun set over the lake you could see guests milling by the cabins, on the back porch, and on the docks, taking in the gorgeous back woods scenery. Anthony and Cait planned a day that was truly them and spoke to their guests and their relationship.
