New Year’s Eve Wedding at Oakland Hills Country Club

WHAT. A. WEDDING. THIS. WAS!!

New Year’s Eve is always a celebration no matter how you spend it. However, if you are lucky enough to attend a wedding, you will not be disappointed - especially when Maria and Andrew are the hosts!

After one of the calls with Maria, she had mentioned that they wanted everything to flow perfectly, since it was going to be a long day, and for her guests to have fun. Well, both were accomplished! There wasn’t a moment at any point in the day/night where I didn’t hear laughter, singing, or glasses clinking to the happy couple.

I felt like I was attending one of Jay Gatsby’s soirées. From the black-tie attire to the champagne tower (that will forever go down in the history of towers,) there was action everywhere you turned. Photobooth in one room, from Modern Social Detroit, and live music from The Jerry Ross Band kept guests dancing into the wee hours of the night. The aesthetics of this day are beautifully showcased by the amazingly talented Blaine Siesser!

As midnight (quickly) approached, staff from Oakland Hills Country Club helped pass out champagne and NYE favors to prepare us for the new year ahead. The band began the countdown, and as we all cheered in unison, ‘three, two, one…” I took one last look at Maria and Andrew - and both of them were glowing. Moments like that, are what I cherish as a planner.

This was the ultimate way to close out on a busy 2021 wedding season!
