Michigan is surrounded by four of the five Great Lakes and we are the stewards of the nation's longest freshwater coastline boasting 3,288 linear miles. With that much shoreline, you would think the amount of Michigan wedding venues on the beach would be plentiful, but painfully this is not so.

Hence why having your wedding literally on the sand at Camp Blodgett is one of the best spots Michigan has to offer.

Megan and Trevor were the perfect combination of laid-back while knowing what they wanted. We spent a lot of planning time going over specifically how the guests would maneuver through cocktail hour to make sure everyone got to enjoy the view of the coastline.

Megan’s matte candlesticks, warm sandy colors and peach/dusty rose tones came across flawlessly through the bridal party’s attire and her tablescape design. All to hold the best food ever from Donkey Taqueria.

One of the questions we ask couples in our questionnaire is “do you have a specific spot or photo you want your photographer to capture?” Megan and Trevor planned that out right. Down on the beach cheers-ing up to their guests on the deck is an image we hope they’ll hold close to them when they look back on this special day.
