Intimate Backyard Wedding at Private Estate in Kalamazoo, MI
6.8.2021
If there’s one trend that comes out of planning during these unique years, I hope it’s having your wedding on a Tuesday. I also loved Amy’s mirror moment framed with flowers by Linnae Floral.
Even with a smaller mid-week affair, having a coordinator on-site helps turn your family home into your wedding haven. It’s hard to let go once you’re caught up in playing host/hostess, as you’ve most likely done in that same setting time and time again. Amy and Joe did this beautifully and paired the formalities of the day perfectly with the relaxation and comfort that can only come from your family home.
I loved hearing their families read “The ABC’s of Marriage” and the mustache crew taking family photos after the ceremony.
And their beautiful photos, can you believe they are all film? Leila Brewster was phenomenal in capturing each gorgeous moment through iconic film.
I 100% advocate for mid-week weddings from here on out, and if they could be anything like Amy and Joe’s, I would be the luckiest planner alive!
